Tristan Goode
Founder and Board Director
Over 25 years’ experience in the IT industry has given Tristan a solid reputation as an innovative architect in systems infrastructure and enterprise solutions. Forward-thinking with strong attention to detail, Tristan has been responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining solutions for the likes of BTR Nylex, NEC, OzEmail, Intel, and iPrimus.
Tristan has an unwavering commitment to exceed expectations for both the business and the customer, and is driven by his personal desire to create unique, effective solutions for any requirements Aptira’s customers may present. Tristan is a founding and 4 times elected Board Director of the OpenStack Foundation and the founder of the Australian OpenStack User Group.

Tom Fifield
Leadership & Principal Consultants
Principal Architect
Tom Fifield is an internationally-renowned architect of large-scale open source infrastructure, having written the OpenStack Operations Guide (published by O’Reilly), and built Australia’s first notable OpenStack cloud, spanning eight datacentres as early as 2012. He currently works with large organisations such as carriers and Governments to manage the delicate balance between organisational and technical factors.
Michael Chapman
Principal Engineer
Michael Chapman has worked on and with OpenStack since mid 2012 as a developer and operator. His primary area of expertise is in deployment tooling and he was a core reviewer for upstream Puppet OpenStack modules for several years. He has also worked on the networking projects Neutron and Designate as a maintainer and contributor. As an operator, he has worked both in very small teams maintaining OpenStack clusters in the high-performance computing space and in multinational teams responsible for enterprise deployments spanning multiple continents. Michael has presented at the OpenStack Summit and the OPNFV Summits in the past on DevOps topics.
Miles Goodhew
Senior Cloud Engineer
Miles Goodhew is a computer scientist and software engineer. Most recently he built 3 Ceph clusters for Services Australia as part of their OpenStack initiative. Prior to that his career spans 30 years in Australia, the US and UK developing and maintaining a wide variety of computer systems and services. Early in his career, he performed security research and software development in classified environments. Miles has also been an ordinary council member for Linux Australia and also organised and chaired the Linux.conf.au conference in 2022.
Sina Sadeghi
Cloud Security Architect
Sina Sadeghi is a cloud security architect with two decades of experience across well-known tech and financial institutions. For AWS, he led global security incident response in APAC, as well as managing vulnerability research. Sina has a passion for SRE practice, leading cloud teams at IBM BlueBox, Cisco Meraki, and Macquarie.
