There is now less than one month to go until the first OpenStack conference down under, and the event has already exceeded our expectations. Most sponsorship packages were sold out well before the cutoff date, with sponsors including: RedHat, SUSE, NetApp, Aptira, Rackspace, VMWare, NTT Communications, SanDisk, Brocade, Oracle, Cumulus Networks, Mellanox and The Register.
We have had an overwhelming number of presentation submissions come through, so the day has been split into two tracks. The main track will be business oriented, including a keynote from the OpenStack Foundation’s Jonathan Bryce, Geoff Stewart from Bankwest and Rik Harris from Telstra. The technical track will cover more in depth technical subjects, workshops and demonstrations from Catalyst IT, HPE and more. The full agenda will be released shortly.
The day will wrap up with a panel run by David Flanders from the OpenStack Foundation, followed by a networking event for a less formal opportunity to engage with the community over a drink.
We have extended early bird ticket sales so everyone will be able to attend at the discounted rate of just $25pp. This ticket includes access to all presentations, a full buffet lunch and networking drinks immediately after the conference. For ticket purchases and more information, head to: http://australiaday.openstack.org.au/. We hope to see you all there!
